Mr. Ung Chanrattana
Advisor of TCO
Mr. UNG Chanrattana was born in Siem Reap Province. He holds an MBA in General Management at Build Bright University, Siem Reap from 2008-2011and was graduated with a bachelor degree of science in Fisheries, Royal University of Agriculture, Cham Kar Daung, Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 2002. He experience in report writing and leading on documentation of relevant studies for partners and donors, prepare participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation of the project at Trailblazer Cambodia Organization (TCO) as well as developing Strategic Plan and Proposal as well as coordinated projects related to Livelihoods, (Food security, Income and Market), Natural Resource Management, Institutional Capacity Building, Community Organizing (including forming CBOs, CBETs, SHGs, VHSG, VDC…etc), WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene), Participatory Action Research (PAR).
Ms. Chep Malibopha
Executive Director of TCO
Ms. Chep Malibopha is currently Executive Director of Trailblazer Cambodia Organization (TCO). She was born in Kampong Cham province and hold a bachelor degree in the major of Animal science and Veterinarian in Kampong Cham national school of Agriculture. She experiences in Microfinance for more than 6 years. And she’s been working in TCO since 2012 by involving in Rice Field Fishery Enhance Project of which she coordinates with field assistance to collect data on Rice Field Fishery. She also involves in fishery data analysis under the designate project from 2012 till present. She participated in Gender and Migration research, special research jointly organized by Sussex University and WorldFish Cambodia in 2015. And she also involved in the Child protection and participation with the ADIC team organized by Save the Children in 2018. Her research interest is on fishery, livelihoods improvement, rural development, NRM, migration, gender and children. Ms
Mr. Chab Bunthorn
M & E Manager of TCO
Mr. Chab Bunthorn was born in Battambong province. He holds Bachelor degree of Law in 2017 and Bachelor of Tourism Management in 2006 at Build Bright University (BBU) in Siem Reap Province. He experiences in child protection, case management, law consulting, case study writing during working as Community Facilitator at Legal Aid of Cambodia based in Siem Reap province. He also used to work as social worker (Cases Management in prison) at Friends International and Project Against Domestic Violence (PADV) in Siem Reap. In additional, he has some experiences with hotel and restaurant field as well as computer maintaining.
Mr. Thay Pisey
Project Coordinator
Mr. Thay Pisey was born in Kampong Thom Province, Cambodia. He completed his Bachelor’s in Rural Development at Chea Sim University of Kamchay Mear (CSUK) in Prey Veng Province from 2006 to 2010. He later pursued an MBA in Public Administration at Cambodia University Skill in Siem Reap, graduating in 2019.
Mr. Pisey has extensive experience in community development and project coordination. He has served as a Project Coordinator for the Community Translation Organization (CTO), overseeing initiatives across four provinces: Siem Reap, Kampong Thom, O’dor Mean Chey, and Preash Vihear. Since 2019, he has worked as a Communication Officer at Trailblazer Cambodia Organization (TCO). Recently, he was changed to be a Project Coordinator for Natural resources management and Livelihood improvement project.
Miss. Peang Sokha
Accountant of TCO
Miss. Peang Sokha, is an admin and accountant of TCO. She was born in Santey village, Danrun commune, Soutr Nikom district, Siem Reap province. She is studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Vanda institute in siem Reap Province, she has joined TCO since 2015 as a soap maker. With her loyalty, effort, and commitment, she has been promoted to be a cashier in 2016 and in 2021 she has been promoted to be an admin and accountant.
Ms. Samoth Piraner
Action Research Officer
Ms. Samoth Piraner, an Action Research Officer at Trailblazer Cambodia Organization (TCO), holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture from the National University of Battambang (NUBB), graduating in 2016. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration at Buil Bright University in Siem Reap province.
She has a wealth of experience in the field of fisheries and livelihoods. She served as a Project Assistant for the Sustainable and Inclusive Fisheries and Livelihoods on the Great Lake project at the Voluntary Service Overseas Organization (VSO) in Kampong Chhnang province. Additionally, she has experience as a Community Facilitator and Junior Communication Assistant at WeWorld-GVC Organization.
In 2015, she volunteered on the “Hot Fish” research project, a collaboration between the Conservation International Organization and the National University of Battambang (NUBB).
Mr. CHHEAN Vibol
Field Facilitator
Mr. Chhean Vibol is currently a field facilitator for the Trailblazer Cambodia Organisation (TCO). He was born in Battambang Province. He is a candidate for an MBA in General Management and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Management of Business and Economics from Cambodia University for Specialities. In 2016 he graduated with a Diploma of Vocational Education in Fishery (Aquaculture) from Sakaeo College of Agriculture and Technologies, Thailand.
He has experience of 2 years as a farm manager in Mong Rithy Group (MRT), 4 years as a livelihood project facilitator, and Disaster Risk Reduction/Climate Change Adaptation Facilitator for the LWD. Now he has been working for TCO since 2023 by being involved with the Defip project, where he has been involved in providing training on fish raising to beneficiaries,feeding monitors, fingerling production, exchange visits, farm layout, and following up on the process of fish raising to find challenges or problems of the farmer and find the solution for them until now.
Mr. Chork Rotha
Field Facilitator
Mr. Chork Rotha is currently the Field Facilitator of Trailblazer Cambodia Organization (TCO). He was born in Kampong Cham province. Born in an agrarian family, he has been involved in all activities with his family. Then he realised that the whole value chain of the agriculture sector still faces many problems resulting in low crop yield. He holds a bachelor’s degree in the major of Agronomy in 2017 and a master’s degree in the major of Crop Science in 2020. During his four years in bachelor’s and two years in master’s education at this University, he had experience and the opportunity to build up his academic knowledge in crop and soil science and engage himself with research and practical experiences with the project that provided financial support for his study research. After graduating he started to work with Trailblazer Cambodia Organization (TCO) in 2020 by being involved in DéFiP project (Development of the fish farming sectors) which his responsibility to facilitate with farmers, provide training, data collection, write reports for the project manager, and participatory Action Research and other research that collaborated with partners in the project.
MR. TAO LAY
Field Facilitator
Mr. Tao Lay is a Field Facilitator for Trailblazer Cambodia Organization. He was born into a farmer family in Banteay Meanchey Province of Cambodia. He holds an MBA in general management from the University of South-East Asia (USEA) Siem Reap Province from 2019 – 2023 and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management at Asia European University (AEU), Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 2011. He started working for a social development career in 2005. He worked for the People for Development and Peace Center (PDP-Center), Khmer You Association (KYA), Dharmajala Jakarta (DJ), World Vision International (WVI) Caring for Cambodia (CFC)).
Mr. Pon Phat
Field Facilitator
Mr. PON Phat is a dedicated Field Facilitator with TCO since October 1, 2022, promoting sustainable fish farming practices among farmers in the Kralanh Zone. He holds Bachelor’s degrees in Agronomy from Nation Meanchey University and in English Literature from UME University in Banteay Meanchey province, both graduated in 2021. Currently, he is pursuing a Master’s degree in Agribusiness and Entrepreneurship at the Royal University of Agriculture, funded by APDRA. His research, also in collaboration with APDRA, focuses on developing better marketing strategies for aquaculture fish by understanding middlemen’s demand. After graduation, Phat gained valuable experience working as a WASH Officer, and during his undergraduate studies, he worked as a data collector and volunteered as a Community Accountability Facilitator.
Mr. Khan Pheak
Admin Assistant
Mr. Khan Pheak was born in SIEM REAP Province. Was graduated bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Bild Bright University Siem Reap. Now he is working as an assistant at TCO. He has experience in preparing documents, updating the organization’s database, coordinating external and internal resources, providing support to the organization, recording employee attendance and annual leave, managing the office and its supplies, maintaining workplace environment cleanliness tidy and order, and any task assigned when required.
